We, the undersigned, call upon our government, businesses, and community leaders to take immediate action in banning the use of single-use plastics. These items—such as plastic bags, straws, cutlery, cups, and packaging—are used for just a few moments but remain in our environment for hundreds of years, causing irreversible harm to wildlife, oceans, and ecosystems.

The Problem:

Over 8 million tons of plastic waste are dumped into our oceans every year, threatening marine life and coastal habitats.
Single-use plastics break down into microplastics that infiltrate our water supply and food chains, posing health risks to humans and animals alike.
Despite recycling efforts, less than 10% of plastic waste is effectively recycled, meaning the vast majority ends up in landfills or natural environments.
Our Call to Action: We urge authorities and businesses to:

Implement a complete ban on single-use plastics and promote sustainable, eco-friendly alternatives such as paper, metal, or bamboo products.
Support and invest in innovative solutions that reduce plastic waste, such as refill stations, biodegradable packaging, and compostable materials.
Educate the public on the benefits of reducing plastic use and encourage responsible consumption practices.
By signing this petition, we stand united in our demand for a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable planet for future generations. We believe that together, we can make a difference—every small step counts in the fight against plastic pollution.
