On Thursday, January 7, 2016, it was announced that the Consulate General of Israel to the Mid-Atlantic (which includes Philadelphia) would be closing. The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia has worked very closely with the consulate on critical issues related to Israel and the Jewish community for many years.This closure leaves a hole we will not easily fill.
