Dear listener/music fan/theatre buff,
This petition pertains primarily to fans of Green Day and fans of Jayce Basques. As I'm sure you are aware Green Day's album American Idiot has been made into a musical. Now this Broadway musical is being developed into a film. You're excited, yes? As you should be.
Sadly most of the Broadway cast have moved on to other things and will not be involved in the film. Everyone wants the best of the best for this film. So who can we trust to do this musical justice?

He is the bassist of DownDownDown and Damato (Universal-Motown.)
He has toured with bands such as Parachute, Hugo, Blindside and played with the likes of the Foo Fighters, John Mayer, Maroon 5 and The Used and has been involved in various film and theatre productions. Having grown up in the San Francisco Bay Area and gotten his start in the East Bay punk scene, this very talented musician is a likely candidate for one being a part of the cast for the film adaptation.
It's been rumored that Billie Joe Armstrong is going to play the role of St. Jimmy in the film but in recent interviews he has said that he isn't 100% committed to the role.
After meeting him on tour in Columbia, MO I can say firsthand that this guy should be St. Jimmy! But if Armstrong does take the role, Jayce would make an amazing Johnny, Tunny or Will. So let's get him a read!
Unknown actors are near the bottom of the casting list. So it's our job to get him noticed. Get his name out to the producers and casting directors of this movie. Spread the word. Email your friends. Post it on Facebook. Tweet about it. Whatever you can do to get him noticed. To get him an audition.

The feedback regarding Jayce and his deep roots in the East Bay punk scene has been wonderful to read. It is clear that many people recognize how much his background would bring to this project. I am currently reaching out to those involved in the early stages of production to ensure your support is acknowledged.

Seeing this level of enthusiasm for Jayce to join the film project has been truly humbling. It confirms that his connection to our shared musical roots is felt deeply by all of you.

OMG imagine jayce in american idiot!!!! that would be unreal
Jayce is seriously so talented. He would bring such an authentic vibe to this movie considering his background in the scene.
He needs to be in this. Don't let them just hire some random actor who doesnt understand the east bay sound.
YES PLEASE. I been following his music for years and he would kill it in this role.
The film needs actual musicians who get the music. Jayce is the perfect choice for this.
