The following signatures are affixed to this Petition in support of Mr. Jim Van Es at Darlington School. Specifically, I support the following three actions be taken by the Board of Trustees at Darlington School. 1. A public apology by Mr. Tom Whitworth and the Darlington Board of Trustees to Mr. Van Es for removing him as the Darlington Middle School Principal & Director. 2. Full restoration of Mr. Van Es' rightful position as Darlington Middle School Principal and Director. 3. Acknowledgement that Jim Van Es' 42 years of dedicated service to Darlington School has earned him the right to decide on his own terms and timing when he wants to retire and step down as Middle School Principal, return to teaching and/or retire. By signing this petition, I acknowledge that I am a stakeholder at Darlington School. I am a student, alumnus, parent, friend, family, and/or donor to this great institution and respect its traditions of excellence, and feel Mr. Van Es was unfairly treated in the recent actions by the current Headmaster, Tom Whitworth.
