Help us get urgent Gathorne Road on to North Street junction improvements
Please sign our petition to secure permission and funding from Bristol City Council to install a solution that improves safety at the Gathorne Road junction onto North Street in Southville, as per the neighbouring roads of Lime and Exeter Road.
The users of the junction are currently at great risk currently from illegal parking mostly from customers ‘quickly popping in’ to the nearby Parson bakery and neighbouring shops.
The area experiences particularly high car and footfall traffic due to its proximity to Ashton Gate Stadium and the problem is particularly acute on event days.
This illegal parking is reducing visibility and has led to at least one car collision and numerous near misses for cars, cyclist and pedestrians. Unfortunately, Traffic Wardens are not able to enforce yellow lines for those staying less than 5 minutes which is further exacerbating the issue.
Please sign our petition to help us convince Bristol City Council to grant permission and fund a safer junction for all users of this dangerous junction.
Thank you.
