The court has granted the motion for a new trial and Crystal will be released pending those proceedings. We are coordinating with legal counsel to navigate the upcoming court dates and ensure all filing requirements are met.

On behalf of Crystal Martin-Levier, a 23 year Pontiac retired veteran, this petition is to help Crystal who was wrongfully convicted in an unfortunate incidence where she was left in a predicatment of fear, fighting for her life (self-defense). Crystal was a Wayne State University student and enjoyed culinary arts , everyone who knew Crystal knew her as a helping hand and always willing to give back. Crystal fought for our country for over 20 years because of her desire to help people in need. Even throughout her ordeal being incarcerated for 11 months awaiting trial she has lended out her helping hand to other inmates in need. Crystal has supported other inmates by feeding them, using her own funds to help bond people out, and overall just being a shoulder to lean on while she experience her own troubles. Today, Crystal is in need of our support she has fought for our country majority of her life and now she needs us to be her fight for justice. So please help in signing this petition to reverse her conviction of a guilty verdict allowing for a retrial to save Crystal from being wrongfully accused of a moment in time where she was left to choose from a fight of survival or lose her life. The volume of support has secured a meeting with local legal advocates to discuss the path toward a retrial. I am currently drafting a formal letter to the prosecutor to present these findings as the next step in our strategy.

I know how it feels to be in that situation if I didn't do 2 years in prison my kids father or myself would have been right in this very same spot. U live by the sword u die by the sword not saying he got what was coming but that's the way the cookie crumbles. God bless
Crystal is a wonderful woman mother grandmother a beautiful honest loving kind caring compassionate individual who has been charged wrongfully please allow her the chance to be with her family she was defending her self trent has a violent history as well as a substance abusre issue crystal is an ex army leader who was invoved with the wrong man she deserves to ne free
My prayers are with her and her family..I hope the Justice system favors her for another re trial.

I was Chrystals bunkie for 70 days, as I was wrongfully incarcerated myself. Blessed to have had Chrystal for a bunkie! She was helpful to me in so many ways as well as helpful to other inmates! I had the opportunity to here all her stories of serving our country, and she helped me understand as I am a new United States Marine Mom. I just feel so bad she is still there God bless I am praying for you Chrystal
