I am writing this petition to bring attention to the wrongful conviction of Sincere Allah, a father, grandfather, son, college graduate, author, volunteer, community activist, and poster child for New Jersey's wrongfully convicted. Due to numerous trial errors and improper appellate review, Sincere Allah was found guilty of the 1993 shooting of Tymeer Price in Paterson NJ.

Sincere Allah's story is a personal one that has deeply affected me. I have closely followed his case and firmly believe in his innocence. The evidence presented during his trial was circumstantial at best and lacked any concrete proof linking him to the crime. Despite this lack of evidence against him, he was convicted based on unreliable witness testimonies.

It is disheartening to see how flaws within our judicial system can lead to such devastating consequences for innocent individuals like Sincere Allah. This case highlights the urgent need for justice reform in New Jersey and serves as a reminder that wrongful convictions can happen to anyone.

In support of this petition, let us consider some relevant facts:

1) In recent years, there have been numerous cases where individuals were wrongfully convicted due to flawed eyewitness identification procedures (source: Innocence Project).

2) Studies have shown that mistaken eyewitness identifications are one of the leading causes of wrongful convictions (source: National Academy of Sciences).

3) According to data from The National Registry of Exonerations (NRE), there have been over 2,800 exonerations in the United States since 1989 - further highlighting systemic issues within our justice system.

4) The Innocence Project reports that false confessions or admissions played a role in approximately 30% of DNA exoneration cases.

These facts illustrate how common wrongful convictions are and emphasize why it is crucial to reevaluate Sincere Allah's case. We cannot allow an innocent man to continue suffering the consequences of a flawed justice system.

I urge the New Jersey State Governor, Phil Murphy, and the State Attorney General, Gurbir Grewal, to thoroughly review Sincere Allah's case and consider all available evidence that supports his innocence. I implore them to take immediate action in rectifying this grave injustice by granting him a fair retrial or overturning his conviction altogether.

By signing this petition, we stand together in demanding justice for Sincere Allah and for all those who have been wrongfully convicted. Let us send a clear message that we will not tolerate the wrongful imprisonment of innocent individuals in our state.

Together, we can make a difference and ensure that justice is served. Join me in fighting for Sincere Allah's freedom and helping him reclaim his life after years of wrongful incarceration.
