We as a family, have stayed at the Alykanas Village Hotel for seven consecutive years, as have many other families, most of the guests return year after year.

We chose this hotel because of its excellent facilities, lovely location, fantastic local atmosphere, all centred around a lovely little village with great bars and family run restaurants.

Thomson Holidays have now announced that the hotel will become All Inclusive from summer 2016 onwards, without the option of Self Catering. I am a member of the Facebook group

and at least 30 families have announced they will be looking to stay elsewhere in future due to this change.

We all feel this change will have a detrimental effect on the local economy, and as Greece is already in such financial difficulty, local businesses mostly rely on tourism to keep afloat, this change will offer no benefit to them, and will most likely put them out of business completely.
