We the undersigned as residents or tax payers of Monroe, Connecticut would like to have Chalk Hill School remain open and utilized as Community Center beyond Labor Day 2012. It would offer the townspeople many opportunities for the enhancement for their social, physical, emotional and educational needs. We believe the building is an asset and resource for the Town of Monroe and must remain open. We understand as a taxpayer we will not pay any more for the building to remain open than to "mothball" it. The difference it costs to keep the "building open for business" will be made from revenue generating programs.
