We, the citizens of Cibola County, request that the County Commissioners of Cibola County, New Mexico, keep and renew the current operation/management agreement set to expire in February of 2014, with the current local non-profit 501(c)3 organization, Cibola General Hospital, Inc. We are against an outside corporate entity such as Presbyterian Health Services, CHS, Lovelace, UNM and others buying, leasing, or operating Cibola General Hospital. As citizens we feel that our hospital should be operated by the local non-profit board of directors whom have operated the hospital since it's inception in 1959. The hospital is in great financial shape, has provided adequate services for our community, recruited physicians, maintained up-to-date technology and equipment and retains professional and qualified staff. We would like to see the hospital continue on the path of success paved by the existing board and leadership.
