Fox Creek Properties is attempting to rezone 518 acres of pristine Dawson County woodland in order to build a mixed-use village, an endeavor that will take between 10 and 12 years to complete. The impact of such a project will lead to increased congestion, increased crime, and have a negative ecological impact on the Etowah River and surrounding area. Worst of all, if the rezoning is passed in its current form, the taxpayers of Dawson County will be forced to foot the bill. Dawsonville has no need for more single family homes/apartments.
Sign this petition to oppose this rezoning and, at the bare minimum, demand the following:
- An increase in the buffer to 600 feet
- No apartments be built in this complex
- Sizable impact fees be paid by Fox Creek so that taxpayers are not burdened with the cost
