The Department of Transportation controls the management of when DST and Standard Time change. People want to enjoy daylight in the evening hours of the late Fall and Winter months.
More auto accidents occur when the time changes. There are negative health issues brought on by changing from DST to Standard Time, including but not limited to anxiety and depression. Eliminate standard time and keep DST (time used during Summer months).
The momentum behind this petition proves that the Department of Transportation can no longer ignore the misery their outdated system forces on all of us. People are fed up with the chaos and the health risks brought on by this mandatory time jump.

As a child I didn't do well with the switch, and as an adult I haven't either. I do best on more sunlight. Also, when it's switched, then deer get hit, because they don't know when to cross. They had been avoiding the heavy traffic every year, and then the time switches and they get hit by cars. The switching back and forth messes with ours and our pets as well, because we are always changing everything from time working, time putting the dog out, time to eat... It's not healthy. We need sun

Coming home in the dark is very hazardous. Keeping day light savings time would help me to get home earlier as it takes a longer time to drive because of safety issues.

Enough is enough. We no longer nee3d this system of changing clocks. If we keep DST kids don't have to stand in the dark to get their bus to school; people will have less sleep problems, heart attacks and all the other chaos that this time change brings. Read the statistics.

This is so disruptive to all aspects of life. We need to keep 'daylight savings time' Spring forward and leave it there.
Falling back deprives families of quality time in the evenings as darkness creeps in so quickly. And lets not forget the farmers trying establish a routine for there animals, like our pets 'no nothing; about this Archaic habit/ritual. Stop Standard Time by next year... Let 2018 spring be our last change...

Not only that, if you have young children or pets you have a difficult time adjusting their schedule. And no one likes having it dark at 4pm.
