I am honestly still shaking because the board finally agreed to make her a full time staff member! Seeing all of you rally for Hannah made such a difference and I really think they realized they could not ignore the impact she has on every single one of us. We …

Madison County School Board,

It has come to the attention of the MCHS sports teams that Hannah Lawrence is actively looking for a job at other schools due to the hour restrictions and lack of benefits she receives currently at Madison County High School. We understand that she is not allowed to be a substitute teacher due to her hours and it would make her a full-time staff memeber rather than a part-time.

Almost every athlete here has had Hannah help them in some way and is there for the sports team, regardless if it is a 6 AM practice on a day off of school or a 6 PM game. Everyone appreciates her and everything that she has done for us, and we would hate to see her go.

We, the athletes of Madison County High School, would greatly appreciate if the School Board could provide some sort of benefits to Hannah so she can continue working here at MCHS. We hope that the School Board can find the value in a full time position of an athletic trainer as much as the student athletes value Hannah Lawrence.

Thank you,

MCHS athletes and teams

I honestly cannot believe how quickly things are moving and seeing so many people rally behind Hannah feels like the ground is shifting beneath our feet. I was just sitting here staring at the screen and realized that the board really cannot ignore this energy when it comes time for them to look at the budget again because this matters so much to all of us.

I really do hope that some type of resolve can be made to keep Hannah with MCHS. Not only is she very knowledgeable about her job but she is very compassionate and caring she has gone out of her way many times to help my daughter whom is a student athlete at MCHS.

The football team would be absolutely nothing without Hannah’s help everyday at practice and at the games, she is the driving force behind a majority of our athletes health and our teams would be missing a vital key player without her. she deserves all the benefits possible

Hannah has been exceptional. She truly cares about our athletes and goes out of her way to be at every event possible. I have watched her run to help an athlete on the opposing team as quickly as she would go to one of our athletes. Please find a way that she can be a full time employee. She can teach First Aid as an elective. There has to be a place in the budget to make this happen for our overall program. Madison has lost too many good people in the last few years - please keep Hannah.

It's hard enough for smaller schools to attract good people, it seems silly to lose someone over "the rules". Sometimes leadership needs to know when to bend the rules to keep the good people that are so hard to find in the first place

I have 2 student athletes that have played various sports at MCHS. Knowing that Hannah was there to care for any injuries (and there have been many) was such a huge relief for me! Please do what's right and keep Hannah at MCHS!

It’s sad that everyone is used to Madison County Schools always running away the good ones!! Hannah is such a hard worker and goes beyond and above for her athletes. I’d hate to see you guys lose her

She’s the best and honestly is the only thing that holds most of our sports teams together.
