Keep Loyal Heights Elementary Students Together K-12

Seattle Public School Board of Directors: Please do not separate these 28 kids from their lifelong schoolmates. Please consider redrawing the BHS boundary line to mirror the current Loyal Heights Elementary line that goes north up 28th Ave NW and then zig zags NW to the water. In the picture posted on this petition, you can see the LHE boundary line circled in blue. The red line is the Ballard High School boundary line that is arbitrarily drawn across 85th. Making this small amendment to the current Scenario Fv4.3 would only impact Ballard High School by:
5 freshmen in 2019
6 freshmen in 2020
6 freshmen in 2021
6 freshmen in 2022
5 freshmen in 2023
Redrawing this line would keep all of the current LHE school students together K-12 — as the growth boundary task force states is it’s utmost priority! It only increases the population of BHS by 28 kids over 5 years! Area B that Director Burke made an amendment for adds 84 kids in one year.
We, the Loyal Heights community are asking you Scott Pinkham, our district representative, and all of the other Seattle School Board of Directors to be our voice and please help us rectify this situation. Once again, the impact on BHS is tiny, but the impact on the lives of those 28 kids is enormous!!
