It has come to our attention that the Sociology/LSJ department at the University of Washington Seattle campus has chosen to not renew Professor Jonathan Wender's contract for the upcoming school year. This comes as an extreme shock to all of us and we are deeply disappointed by the Department's decision. Professor Wender has proven himself to be an excellent educator and a beloved professor amongst LSJ and Sociology students. His stimulating courses as well as his passionate, enthusiastic and down to earth teaching are just a few of the reasons why he remains many LSJ students' favorite professor. It honestly baffles all of us as to how the University could release a professor with as much energy and genuine care for his students as Professor Wender. Please take a moment to help keep the quality of education at UW excellent and stand with us to keep Professor Wender at UW.
