Keep Traditional Grading at CMS and EHS

Compentency Based Grading has been transitioning into CMS and soon EHS. Although we SEE traditional grades on report cards, students earn them based on ONLY FOUR numerical choices which are 50 (NTY) , 76 (PM) , 88 (M) and 100 (E). Parents and students would like to see 0-100 TWELVE point traditional (A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D+, D, D-, F) grading scale be the ONLY method used for evaluation. They believe this form of grading provides more detail, is meaningful, motivating and provides excellent feedback where as CBG is too broad, frustrating, not providing adequate feedback and decreasing student drive.
