I spent the morning looking at old photos of my father on the mat and realized this fight is about honoring those who built the foundation of the sport. The stories you are sharing in the comments remind me exactly why we cannot let this history disappear.

Seeing this level of support for a sport that shaped my entire youth is overwhelming. My coach used to say the mat reveals who you really are and today you all have revealed how much this tradition means to the world.

WRESTLING MUST STAY. IT IS HISTORY.
So much hard work goes into this. Dont take away their dream.
honestly what are they thinking?? they want to cut the most dedicated athletes while keeping stuff that barely counts as a sport. total garbage.
My son has practiced this sport for years, it teaches disipline like nothing else. Please keep it for the next generation of athletes.
This is ridiculous. Wrestling is what the olympics are all about. Keep it in!

Wrestling is the original olympic sport. Taking it out makes zero sense. Do not ruin the games.
