Keep Reedsburg School District Great!

Brief Summary:

• District needs to cut $3.6 million over next four years due to new state funding cuts

• District has already cut textbooks, supply orders, maintenance, and bus purchases

• District has already cut administrators, teachers, custodians, and support staff positions

• District will lose $750,000 of SAGE revenue

• Class sizes will increase dramatically

• Student programs will be cut at all levels

• Two or more schools will be closed, but still need to be maintained by District

Petition:

We, the undersigned, believe additional cuts will have a negative impact on the quality of education in the Reedsburg School District and be detrimental to the communities of Reedsburg, Rock Springs, Loganville, Ironton, and LaValle.  We believe quality schools contribute to the success of a community.  We urge the Board of Education to pursue a funding referendum in order to maintain the programs and services currently provided by the School District of Reedsburg.
