In June of 2006 our friend Kory Robertsen was caught by Taiwanese police and charged with a Class II drug offence (email the sponsor for more information). On December 13th, 2006 Kory was sentenced to 10 years in a Taiwanese prison. This is an excessively harsh punishment for someone as a first offence, especially in a foreign land with no support system - Kory\'s family and closest friends (including his fiancé) are thousands of kilometres away. Kory\'s first appeal has failed. The judges have yet to show mercy. He was just informed in the middle of June that he has been approved to appeal one last time with the High Court. He has only six weeks from the middle of June to prepare his defence! So far, his courtrooms have been pretty empty, but Kory feels that if he could show the judge the number of people who really care about him then he might persuade his honour to show some mercy in his case. Since it is unfeasible to fly everyone to Taiwan, then a petition seems like the best way to show we care. This petition will be submitted to the judge at Kory\'s final appeal trial.
