Title: Petition for Fair Labour Practices, Promotions, Post-graduate Study Opportunities, and Adequate Medical Staff in Kilifi County

To the Concerned Authorities of Kilifi County,

We, the undersigned DOCTORS of Kilifi County, hereby express our deep dissatisfaction with the unfair labour practices, lack of promotions, limited opportunities for post-graduate studies, and critical shortage of doctors affecting our county's workforce. We are left with no choice but to unite and embark on a peaceful industrial action to address these grievous issues.

1. Fair Labour Practices: We demand an end to the prevailing unfair labour practices that compromise the rights and dignity of the doctors in Kilifi County. Our working conditions, salaries, benefits, and treatment must be aligned with nationally recognized standards.

2. Promotions: We urge the authorities to establish a transparent and merit-based promotion system that rewards doctors based on their qualifications, experience, and performance as enshrined in our CBA 2017 and scheme of service.

3. Post-graduate Study Opportunities: Kilifi County must recognize and support the professional growth and development of its doctors. We call for the establishment of a comprehensive framework that provides doctors with equitable opportunities for post-graduate studies, enabling them to enhance their skills and contribute effectively to the county's development.

4. Doctors Shortages: The severe shortage of doctors in Kilifi County has caused undue strain on our healthcare system, adversely impacting the well-being of both employees and citizens alike. We demand immediate action to attract and retain qualified doctors by improving working conditions, offering competitive salaries, providing necessary resources and infrastructure, and ensuring the availability of necessary medical equipment and supplies.

We believe that addressing these concerns is paramount not only for the welfare of the workforce but also for the overall betterment of Kilifi County. By taking action to rectify these issues, we can ensure a productive, empowered, and prosperous community.

Therefore, we, the committed doctors of Kilifi County, hereby declare our intention to undertake a well-organized industrial action on a date that will be communicated until our demands are fully met. We firmly believe that a just and equitable resolution to these issues will enhance the quality of life for everyone involved.

Together, let us unite our voices, stand in solidarity, and compel the authorities to take immediate action to address the unfair labour practices, lack of promotions, post-graduate study opportunities, and doctors shortages in Kilifi County.

Signed,
