Petition for the Establishment of Proposed Kodumon Airport in Pathanamthitta, Kerala, India

Pathanamthitta, like many parts of Kerala, has a large number of people traveling abroad, especially to the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and other parts of the world. According to reports, Kerala has one of the highest rates of international passenger traffic in India. Many Keralites migrate for work, and the state has a robust diaspora. The demand for international flights is high, and providing more local options can make air travel more accessible to the people of Pathanamthitta and surrounding regions.
Given the high international passenger traffic from Pathanamthitta, the availability of government land in Kodumon, and the general need for more local travel options, an international airport in Pathanamthitta could greatly improve the region’s connectivity and contribute to its economic development. If the government of Kerala supports this initiative, it could provide the necessary resources to make this project a reality, benefiting both local residents and the broader state economy.
We, the undersigned, urge the Government of India to take immediate action to establish a new airport in Kodumon, Pathanamthitta. This airport will have a significant positive impact on the economy of Central Travancore, fostering growth and development in the region.

The lack of a nearby airport forces many of us to travel long distances from Trivandrum or Cochin, making journeys tedious, especially for the elderly and families with young children. A Kodumon airport will bridge this gap, ensuring easy and convenient access for the global Malayali diaspora visiting home.
Kodumon is best location for a new airport for Sabrimala temple and middle Kerala and the public with out disturbing wildlife life and forest Chruvally estate if selected will be a disaster Think wisely and act
Its a worderful area which will not have any financial burden to either Govt. or Organisation who is going lead the constructions. Further, it will be accessible for the travellers to reach easily by using Pulalur - Muvattupuzha Highway recenly made in Superior quality.
We need an airport in central Travancore which will help the area develop small towns like Adoor, pathanamthitta, pandalam ,Konni, pathanapuram and punalur will develop. And enable the small scale farmers can export their products to gulf countries aneurope with out any delay.
Absolutely it's long pending demand of Pathanamthitta....I strongly support it, more than Air ticket we pay for taxi from Kochi to Pathanamthitta, Konni, Thannithodu, Ranni etc
Perfect location on a government land.
This location is important to me because I want to work near an international airport. It provides better career opportunities, exposure to international business, and convenient access to transportation. Working in this area will help me grow professionally and build a long-term career.
