Krysten Walowski is a first year at IWU and a double major in both History and Education with a minor in Theater Arts. She intends to follow a secondary education track! Krysten's motivation to become a history teacher is driven by her desire to get future students in America involved in their government and caring about their civic engagement.

Being involved in a place of advocacy and voice is important to Krysten, and she intends to use her voice to work for you! Some of Krysten's goals are:

- Using the advantages of a small university in order to directly connect with the student body and advocate for improvements around campus/in organizations

-Encourage students on campus to become registered voters and educate our community of upcoming elections

-Use her connections with three other departments on campus and connected RSO's in order to represent a wide variety of departments and cultures at IWU

What makes her qualified to represent?

Krysten has experience in multiple student leadership positions. In her past four years, she has held the following titles and duties;

-Student Director (Stage directing and managing a fall play and drama season)

-Prom Chair/Chief Coordinator

-Student Council

-Class Treasurer

-National Honor Societ

These positions have given Krysten the opportunity to attain many skills, (organization, communication, advocacy, debate, creativity, persistence) which are all crucial to a good student leader!
