Students support a new childcare facility!
We are not only concerned with the quality of our education at K-State. As K-State students, we are concerned that little Wildcats and potential future K-Staters are not receiving the quality education and development opportunities they should be. The Center for Child Development is currently the most affordable way for students to receive childcare while pursuing their education. Due to budget cuts, the university is considering postponing construction of a safer and a larger childcare facility on campus - leaving a diverse group of children in appalling conditions. These are students, possibly future K-Staters, and they deserve better than this. The faculty and staff of the center are coping incredibly well with what they have, but know that it is impossible for the center to continue as it is. There are countless safety issues and a new building would let the center better serve K-State students. Here we show our collective support that K-State students are in favor of prioritizing the construction of a new childcare facility, and we are against postponing its construction any longer.
