PETITION IN SUPPORT OF PAROLE OF LARRY NEAL WILSON
PETITION IN SUPPORT OF PAROLE OF
LARRY N. WILSON
Inmate #236576
To be submitted to the Kentucky Department of Corrections Parole Board on behalf of Larry Wilson
On the night of July 31st 2009, Larry Wilson was attacked by Tod A. Carter. Mr. Carter intoxicated entered through the window of Wilson’s tow truck striking him in the face and eye with a root beer mug. In an attempt to stop the assault, Wilson bent over and grabbed his gun and shot once in the air fatally striking Mr. Carter in the left armpit exiting through the top right shoulder. In shock Wilson immediately called paramedics and waited silently for police to arrive.
The jury found Wilson not guilty of wanton endangerment by self- defense but convicted him of second-degree manslaughter for the death of Tod A. Carter . Wilson was sentenced to 7 ½ years in prison. He is eligible for parole January 2011.
We, the undersigned, petition and ask that the Kentucky Department of Corrections Parole Board grant the parole/release of Larry Wilson who was acting in self defense on the night of July 31st. Wilson has no criminal record and poses no threat to the public. Keeping him in prison would be a further injustice to Mr. Wilson, his family, friends and the community in which he serves.
