This petition verifies that you are in support of the establishment of a Latino honor society at the University of St. Francis. The purpose of this petition is to demonstrate the strong interest among the University of St. Francis student body in establishing such organization on campus. This petition will be geared towards the advancement of promoting student engagement, diversity and unity not only among theLatinouniversity community but the general population as well. This petition will be shown to university administrators, among them our new President Dr. Arvid Johnson, in order to progress with Latino initiatives. By signing this petition, it will confirm your full-fledged support and/or interest.
The creation of such organization would instill not only a sense of responsibility for their own success and future, but also the success of their communities and their fellow students. Through such organization, students will be able to work together in the attainment of academic excellence and recognition, as well as scholastic and cultural enrichment in the form of organized activities and programs which would focus on the Latino student's needs.
