Say NO to the trapping and killing of innocent skunks in Calgary by the city and province as well as the private sector. Say NO to funding this unnecessary practice by the city and province, do you want your money used to kill these beautiful animals that have always been part of our city? Currently if you want to get rid of them, you must pay for it yourself as it's the city and provinces opinion that skunks help our neighbourhoods and are harmless, and skunks keep mice populations in check. This is a counter petition to the people wanting the city or province to remove our furry friends at the expense of the taxpayers. To trap and kill skunks is inhumane and is leaving babies without their parents to feed them, if you saw the poor skunk in the trap on TV it was shaking to death from cold and fear, this should be illegal, just as it is illegal to trap stray cats at this time of year. Calgary has always lived with skunks, just like squirrels, bunnies and birds, they are part of our city, let's leave them alone.
