Hi Hawaiian Swimming athletes!

The LSC has changed the limit of event entries at Age Group States from 8 to 6 in order to: 1) make the meet shorter, 2) let more swimmers attend States (because 8 events means they will have to lower the time standards even though the trend over the last few years is that we are all getting faster due to the motivation of making the faster cuts), and 3) allow us to "focus" more on our swims. One con of this change is it limits the number of opportunities we have to swim fast, and the point of having prelim/final meets is to have as many opportunities as we can. As your Athlete reps, we would like to get a sense of your opinion on this matter. If you would like to change the number of possible State entries back to 8, please sign this petition.
