My name is Marissa Venetelli-Azar and I am a science teacher for the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board.

I come from a very proud Catholic family in Tecumseh Ontario and my husband's family were persecuted Christians from Lebanon.

Having been teaching for the last 5 years, I've come to love my job, my Christian colleagues and Christian students. Unfortunately, my school has many problems and most of them related to non-Christian students who should be placed in a Public School. Instead, our once proud Catholic school is forced to display a "PRIDE" flag and allow muslim students to observe ramadan! This is nuts!

That's what happens when you let the devil enter in the church and schools. I don't care how careful you are or you think that you are, interfaith initiatives are a recipe for disaster. When you allow the devil to come into a christian house of worship then you only get what you deserve while the devil gets his way.

On March 2022, many Catholic District Boards have passed an “Equity Action Plan” which enshrines gender ideology, critical race theory, and orders the Pride Flag to be flown at ALL Catholic schools. All of this runs contrary to our fundamental Catholic moral teachings.

Parents, children, Catholic school supporters and myself are outraged! Our Catholic schools are becoming centres of indoctrination for BLM, the alphabet people, muslims, communists, perverts, groomers,

Dear Ontario Catholic School Board Trustees:

We, the undersigned, demand the repeal of the Equity Action Plan, and demand that our schools to retain their Catholic identity and faithfulness to Christ's teachings, and as such, ban the flying and/or display of the PRIDE Flag—or any other political flag—inside or outside any Catholic school, or the Catholic Education Centre in Ontario.
