LETTER FROM GOODLIFE GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTORS
Dear Patch, Jane, Jason, Sue, Kim, Alana, Michelle and Hannah
We hope you and your family are staying well and safe during these challenging times.
We are GoodLife fitness instructors from across Turtle Island (“Canada”). We are overjoyed to be able to teach again. We are even more excited to be able to reconnect with our amazing members participants and colleagues.
For so many of us, our GoodLife community has helped us through these very challenging last two years. Many of us have been coping with family health issues, job loss, isolation, mental health struggles and economic stress. Like so many people we have found ourselves in new roles as fulltime caregivers for ailing parents, helping our children with online learning and navigating unexpected life-changing challenges related to the pandemic.
Despite these immensely challenging times we have all found ourselves excitedly awaiting our return to teaching classes at GoodLife. It has been a lifeline for many of us as well as our wonderful members. As we awaited our return to teaching, we have been doing BodyAttack in our basements, ordering BodyPump Smart Bars, playing our favorite BodyCombat tracks, improving our technique and counting down the days until the restrictions would lift. Many instructors also stayed connected with members and participants throughout the pandemic and have been keeping them updated about club openings, classes and the exciting news of capacity increases.
We appreciate what a challenge it has been scheduling classes and bringing back employees. We also all hoped to have an opportunity to be recalled. We are heartbroken to hear that many of our fellow instructors who are passionate about teaching, and beloved by participants and colleagues alike, have been abruptly terminated. We know GoodLife is a company that cares deeply about physical and mental health and appreciates that many instructors were enduring monumental hardships and challenges during the past two years.
We are deeply hopeful that you will reconsider these terminations.
We believe in GoodLife’s core values: Caring Trust, Integrity, Passion, Peak Attitude, Happiness and Personal Fitness. And we believe that we are all in this together.
Sincerely,
GoodLife Group Fitness Instructors
