Cherry is a club for music lovers that supports the local and international electronic music industry. It is considered one of the best places to spend an evening in Montreal by various journalists, hotel concierges, artists, tourists, and industry professionals. we contribute to the reputation of Montreal s night life and in turn to the economy enhancing the tourist experience. It is a special place where unpretentious people gather to have a good time and where local and international artists can display their talent in a unique venue.We contribute to the survival of the Montreal Night life Scene as it is getting destroyed more and more. The venue has existed since the early seventies and has been host to Pierre Trudeau, Gilles Villeneuve , Shirley Mclaine, Liza Manelli , Omar Sharif ,(to name a few) in the past. We respect the law and are a venue that simply contributes to the music scene in Montreal by employing and encouraging local and international artists, producers,and record labels. We are victims by certain forces that claim the clientel is disorderly , causes vandalism , violence, and is a place of disrepute. Regisseurs at the RACJ have deemed in the public interest that it close at 1 am due to accusations made by certain neighbors that have a financial interest in Cherry closing. Help us keep the Montreal Night Life Scene vibrant and healthy. I am a client, I live, I work in Old Montreal and I know Cherry situated at 417/19 St. Pierre, Montreal , Quebec. I have no objection to Cherry continuing normal operations and I would like it to stay open.
