Abuse of a sexual, physical, psychological and verbal nature can have serious health effects and for the most part, most of the fore-mentioned are criminal acts in the Republic of Ireland.Baldry (2004) stated that bullying is a form of abuse as it has the potential to create long lasting effects however bullying in all its forms, including cyber bullying, is not a criminal offence.
