we finally did it and masks are officially optional in our district. i cant believe we pulled this off together but im honestly just so relieved for the kids. lets stay involved to make sure it stays this way.

High schoolers and older! Please sign if you would like masks to be optional for students and teachers in the West Allis West Milwaukee School District. You must live or work in the district to sign. We want the community members to have a voice!
Every teacher who wants the vaccine has had it. Make the masks optional in WAWM for the rest of the year and beyond! Let them see smiles, go to events like prom without masks, let the teachers see their faces, and let them breath FREELY!
Parents should have the right to make decisions for our children's physical and mental health, not the school districts. They are our children, not theirs. They seem to have forgotten that.
It is time to stop with the excuses and unmask our children!

Get rid of the masks!!!!! Children need social interaction and this limits that. We will be pulling our children out the end of this year if it does not change and the same for our entire family. That would be 22 children going to a new schools and districts that do not have the mask policy!
If the Super Bowl can have over 77,000 people maskless together. Our child should be able to breathe amongst their peers.
Mask optional. Must include a stipulation where all future health regulations are supported by data and health studies that are recognized and published. Also, educational information available for those who choose to wear masks, as to long-term health and mental effects, as well as hygiene, and proper use. All studies are to be provided to parents and used as a basis for public forum.
Masks are (outside of the kn95s) ineffective, especially when coupled with incorrect wearing and face touching. WHY do we go through this ludicrous exercise to torture our children - just too make ourselves feel better? The numbers of disease contraction do not bear the continuation of the practice out.
Just want some sense of normalcy for my kiddos would love for them to be able to share a smile with their classmates.
Pray the children can be set free from this tyranny that has cost them so much and proven to not work.

The CDC has removed the guidelines, why was is applicable to follow CDC, DHS guidelines to implement mandates. However, when they change, we negate to honor the changes?
