The SNP Scottish Government announced in April 2014 that Ninewells Hospital in Dundee would be one of four major trauma centres in Scotland. Health Minister Shona Robison has now gone back on that decision, and is consulting on a two-centre model based on Edinburgh and Glasgow. We the undersigned agree with Scottish Labour that Ninewells must be one of Scotland’s major trauma centres to guarantee that it will remain at the cutting edge of modern medicine.
