As of now taxes are not taught about in British schools leading to a whole generation of teenagers completely unaware of what taxes are, how to pay them and the consequences of not paying them. Considering not paying taxes correctly can lead to fines and even prison it seems like people should be properly aware of them. It’s extremely worrying that at 16 years old (the age many people get their first job) there are no teenagers I know who know anything at all about taxes. However, what I do know is a lot of teenagers who are more than up for learning about taxes in school as it will considerably help for their future.
