Make Vapes Harder for Minors to Get- Support the passage of MA Senate Bill 1459!
Sign this petition to show your support for Massachusetts Senate Bill 1459: An Act to Protect Youth from the Harm of Tobacco and E-Cigarette Products.
This bill would outlaw the sale of vapes and cigarettes at gas stations and convenience stores in MA where they’re most accessible to younger people. Adults would have to purchase tobacco products (vapes and cigarettes) at “Adult-Only Retail Tobacco Stores” where you have to be 21 years or older to enter.
We want people to sign this petition because it will help us to tell Massachusetts lawmakers that we think they should pass this bill. Vapes and cigarettes should not be in stores where kids/teens can go.
Teens Should NEVER Vape!
Teens should not vape because it is very addictive and can affect their health in the short and long term. Unfortunately, sometimes vapes can be really easy to access for young people. In 2019, 37% of high school students in Massachusetts reported using tobacco products such as vapes and cigarettes (CDC). This needs to stop! Passing this bill would make it harder for teens to get vaping products.
