Make Seattle Parks Safe
The parks in Seattle are not safe. Children are being pricked with syringes, mothers with children are being verbally threatened to stay out of the way of drug users and dealers, and people are being held up at gun point in the middle of the day. We, the citizens of Seattle, demand that Mayor Mike McGinn actively and immediately take actions to make the parks safe, especially for the children of Seattle, by: 1. Increasing the Seattle Police Department's presence in our parks, especially the frequency of foot patrols through the parks. 2. Developing a plan to crack down on illegal activity in our parks. 3. Increasing the presence of the Seattle Parks Department park patrols. 4. Taking any other actions to make and keep our parks safe.
