Marine Atlantic was put into place as the gap between the TCH in NL and NS. As it stands now, residents of Newfoundland are TRAPPED in their own province due to the high cost to leave using the Marine Atlantic ferry service. We want the government of NL to step in and reduce the cost for the residents of this province to take the short journey to another province. The estimated cost for a party of 2, vehicle and an overnight cabin from the Argentia port will cost approx $1200.00 to return. Therefore, leaving the residents of this province trapped within the province and unable to pay for such travel.
