We are a group of homeowners in Katy, Texas who have had our property boundaries impacted by an opinion rendered by the Office of the Harris County Attorney.

The Harris County Flood Control District received a conveyance of property on April 23, 2010 (filed in Harris County records July 6, 2010) from Kickerillo Company, Inc. It is our understanding that the ownership of this property was determined solely upon the opinion of the Office of the Harris County Attorney at the request of The Office of Harris County Commissioner, Precinct 3. This conveyance, as well as the survey work associated with the conveyance, was done without any title research as indicated on the "Confirmation Deed for Drainage Tracts" filed in the Harris County records.

It is the homeowner's position that the subject property is, in fact, owned by the homeowners along the creek as evidenced by many years of title documents and property surveys, as well as the opinions of an abstractor and even the original engineer of the development.

We ask that The Office of the Harris County Attorney provides the opportunity for a small group representing these homeowners to state our case for the ownership of this property with the documentation referenced above in the hope that we may resolve this issue amicably and restore clarity to the property titles of the effected property owners.
