Arsenal's official website is a place where supporters go for confirmed and trustworthy information. It's where new signings are unveiled (the club doesn't do any unveil press conferences), it's a good portal for match tickets, and it's a hub for knowledge and facts. A while back, the club decided to add a new feature to the site; Media Watch. This section goes completely against the rest of the site, rounding up ridiculous transfer rumours and even linking to the tabloid articles where the rumours are started in the first place. Only two days after our club captain Robin van Persie released a statement where he's declining to sign an extension to his contract, Arsenal posted a new Media Watch article on their website, rounding up rumours connecting Van Persie to some of our biggest competitive rivals. The official site should not encourage tabloids to spread false information and guess on the future of the club's players. The official site should have more class than that. This petition aims to remove the Media Watch section from the official site and restore a bit of distinction to the official site. No supporter wants to read about where our club captain could end up, especially on the official club site.
