Melanie’s Thanksgiving
Hello good people.
If you’ve found yourself here today, that means you are a genuine soul who cares about correcting injustices. As you may know, I will not be in the United States for Thanksgiving this year because I’m in Turkey and therefore will not be as fortunate as my American peers. What you may not know, is that though the name may be misleading, Turkey does not serve turkey. In addition to this social injustice, it has come to my attention that there are also no sweet potatoes being grown here, not collard, nor mustard greens. Devastatingly enough, there’s more. I regret to inform you all that the option of baked macaroni and cheese is also withheld from the population of Artvin, Turkey.
In an effort to right these wrongs, I ask that you all join me in signing this petition. In doing so, you will all be helping me convince my biological maternal parent (who’s name is being withheld in respect for her privacy), to single handedly recreate an entire Thanksgiving meal upon my return to the states.
Injustices like these cannot continue to happen to innocent people (that’s me). Please take just a second more out of your day to change a life.
God bless you all.
