The Merthyr Village project was sensationally turned down by the Welsh Assembly Government on the grounds that it would \"it would have had adverse effects on conservation, historical sites and town centre regeneration\". This is a crazy decision. We therefore, as both residents of Merthyr and fans of Merthyr Tydfil FC (who would\'ve benefitted from a new stadium as part of the development) ask the WAG to reverse the desicion that was made, and allow this much needed project to be built.
