This is a petition against Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council’s (CBC) plan to demolish the once elegant  1920’s Castle Super Cinema on Castle Street. They plan to erect yet another "Learning Campus" in the resulting space. If you feel the current building when refurbished  as a theatre and function hall with a separate dance floor, arcade and café would be a better use of the building, with the added benefit of using people currently trying to find apprenticeships with local training providers to help with the refurbishment of the Castle, then please leave your details below.
