Microeconomics Midterm
Letter to The coordinators of the Economics and Business program 2016-2017 and Microeconomics Lecturer Mr. Aljaž Ule,
This petition urges you to consider the circumstances of Microeconomics students, who due to logistics issues faced by UVA(BOL), didn’t write the midterm exam on 22 of November 2016.
Changes in predetermined setting of writing the midterm exam, should not put in jeopardy the grades of each student, by changing the conditions of the final exam. There are no questions as to why such unexpected changes occurred today, however we believe it’s not fair to transfer all the pressure on us - the students.
We truly believe that as the final exam will cover the whole material of the book, our grades will be put in jeopardy. In addition, as this course has a high passing grade of 6.00, we urge all the faculty coordinators to take into consideration our concerns and any of the following suggestions.
-Share additional material for preparation, analogous to the final exam,
- Lower the grade boundaries;
-Lower the minimum passing grade;
However, you might come up with your own solutions, as to how reduce the pressure that we’re going to face, for the final exam.
I hope that faculty and program coordinators, will take appropriate action to ensure fair assessment of its students
