Microwaves for the KIDS
STOP THE BAN ON MICROWAVES AT ST VINCENT SCHOOL
"The decision to remove the microwaves at St. Vincent School was taken in the Spring of 2014 and came into effect at the beginning of last school year. The Governing Board was presented with a recommendation of the school administration and upon hearing the pros and cons of such a decision, the Governing Board approved the recommendation. "
"If you wish to further pursue this matter, as stated in your letter of complaint, I recommend that you bring your grievance to the proper elected body, which in this case is your local Governing Board."

Can the students enjoy a hot meal ? Yes they can with the microwave oven
Advantages:1- Most schools in Canada use microwaves;
2- Microwaves were in use at St-Vincent's school before, so they do not need to be bought;
2- Microwaves are not harmfull and are not banned by the schoolboard ;
3-Your child will enjoy a real hot meal made or bought by you;
4- Thermoses are expensive and need lenghty preparion in the morning;
5- Microwaves allow food to be kept fresh in the lunch box until warmed;
6- Without microwaves, cold food in a thermos cannot be rewarmed.
7- Microwaves allow for greater flexibility and are economic for parents.
