The fact that we have elderly people living in our community that their only access to emergency services is by phone and last summer we had at least 3 occasions that our landlines did not work means that the only other form of calling the ambulance is by mobile phones that do not work. It is disgusting that in our technology era the telephone companies cannot give us reliable landlines let alone mobile phone coverage. In the town of Mount Bryan if it rains heavily and floods we are likely to lose our landlines which happened twice last year.
