Family Law Commissioner, Judge Marjorie A. Slabach of the San Francisco Superior Court Family Law Division, has produced unrelenting corruptive practices towards single mother litigants. Judge Slabach has stripped single moms of various U.S Constitutional Rights, primarily the right to Due Process of Law in the 5th and 14 Amendment. Her actions often target single mothers involved in temporary restraining order and child dependency cases. Their lawyers are often ineffective, and many file motions, which are called ex parte motion. These are motions that are filed without advanced notice to the opposing side. The judge can grant these motions....without notification to the other side. These motions are supposed to be sharply limited, as they deny a person\'s right to Due Process of Law. On May 12th, 2008, numerous single moms, and POOR Magazine staff rallied outside the courthouse in demanding an abrupt end to her actions. With enough signatures, this can happen. Judge Slabach and all judges like her need to respect Due Process of Law, not strip them from litigants, especially mothers.
