I have been meeting with the committee members to explain why this trip is about more than just a bus ride. Many of you have shared your own financial concerns with me and your stories are helping me prove that this cost reduction is necessary for our students.

Seeing this level of support reminds me how much my friends and I truly need this trip to happen. It feels like the committee is finally starting to pay attention to our goal.

Marine Science is an important part of the community here and should always be seen as an important part of this college's community.
Marine science is and will always be a very important aspect of Eckerd College's contribution to society, therefore, should be taken even further into consideration when deciding to place the budget.
