Join Multiple Sclerosis Central Districts Against the Reduction of Rehab Beds in Palmerston North and Levin
MS Central Districts seeks support in their endeavours to get the MidCentral DHB to continue providing a comprehensive rehab service people for people under-65. MidCentral DHB has now indicated that bed numbers are likely to be reduced from twelve to 6 at Palmerston North Hospital, and a change in focus for the 24 rehab beds at Levin with a corresponding reduction in staff, provides a real fear that the in-patient service for under-65s will be removed altogether. People with Multiple Sclerosis - and other conditions - require rehab beds and staff to aid their recovery from relapses, help them get back on their feet and provide them with a temporary alternative to having to be admitted into rest homes. Please help us to continue to provide rehabilitation care for under-65s by signing this petition.
