We the undersigned, having bore witness too, and in many cases benefitted from, the tireless works of Richard "Dick" Koltz, to entertain, to assist, to facilitate, to host, and in general to be an all around good friend and neighbor to every person he ever met, and because of our further witness to the examples he set, from his efforts as a community leader, as a Christian Lay leader, as a business owner and especially as a committed family man, and finally, for inspiring all of us to strive to live as he lived, do hear by wish to have this great citizen be forever memorialized, by having the newly constructed highway 96 Bridge over the Fox River, in the village of Wrightstown, in the county of Brown, in the great state of Wisconsin, be named and forever known as The Dick Koltz Memorial Bridge.

Seeing 250 names on this petition makes my heart ache for Dick because he would have been so humbled by this gesture. I always knew he was special, but seeing how many of you share that sentiment is truly overwhelming.

Seeing this kind of momentum feels like watching the whole town line up to tell a story about a man who meant the world to so many of us. Dick was always there for everyone else and it warms my heart to see that kindness coming back to his memory ten times over.

Dick always promoted buying from local businesses in Greenleaf and Wrightstown especially. He was a wonderful loving caring man and a friend to many.

I would love to see this happen. He was a wonderful person to all who knew him. Never afraid to give help when ask. He lived by his faith and loved in the same manner. He will be greatly missed. Plus when people pass over this bridge they will be reminded of him. Plus those who don't know him will ask who hev was. His legacy will live on.

God bless the Koltz family......Dick was a blessing to so, so many people. I was saddened this morning to hear of his passing- though heaven is certainly a joyous place now! This was a man who lived his life with his kindness throttle on full open-- one who clearly lived to show all of us a shining example of God's love at work in the world. I did not know Dick well- but in the handful of times I spoke with him, he treated me as graciously as anyone else in his life.
