draws to the attention of the House The enormous benefit that forestry in public native forests has, and continues, to provide to the State of Tasmania. Forestry has consistently responded to the high expectations set by the community that public forests be managed well and to provide multiple benefits. This has driven our industry to become a leader, both nationally and internationally, in innovative practices and science-based management. Your Petitioners therefore ask the House to • Continue to support forestry in public native forests • Challenge forestry to continue innovating and using science to manage for ever greater benefit to the State across the range of economic, social and environmental services that are provided by our public forests
